Friend of mine at Ipswich Rhinos RLFC (UK) even plays with one!

BIOGRAPHY: Let's face it, Maltese Rugby Union international Steve Haycock is as old as the hills. In fact in his job as a PE teacher, Steve has even taught a number of the other Rhinos and as he would see it he continues to teach them on the rugby pitch every week. Steve makes a massive contribution to the team every time he plays with his surging runs and fantastic defence. Steve first played league at university where he received a call up to the southern universities squad for the final England Students trial. There is a suggestion that he may have made the squad had he not gone out and got pissed the night before the trial. You'd have thought this action would have helped his selection for a students team but apparently the England coach didn't see it that way. Steve's playing contribution and the fact that he always plays with a smile on his face has been a great asset for the club for a number of years.

So when is Malta Sydney going to host a game in Malta or tour other playing countries in Europe ?

why would i check out a Union site for? i have loads better things to do.......

yes, the rugby internationals.......of utter crap, they are irelevant, and oh lets not forget that the skill level in the Malta, Switzerland, Andora, Norway, Lithuania, Isreal Union teams is unbelievable.....at least USA ( the ameuteur RL nation) had some skill and put up a good fight against the Aussies.....

Your international comp is full of lies.......its all hyped out, but all in all its utter s**t......

League however does not lie, what you see is what you get, believe me by the the 2008 WC we will have a good international comp running......

and lets not forget league sh**s all over Union in Australia.......

No robyalvaro, Rugby is not far behind League in Australia but Rugby sh*t all over League in Planet Earth .

Are you sure there's going to be a World Cup in 2008 ? Last time I heard there was going to be a World Cup in 2005 .

If you get sick of watching Great Britain play NZ and OZ there's always Rugby tests betwen South Africa, NZ, Samoa, Fiji, The Real British Lions & Irish Lions, Tonga, Argentina, Australia, Wales, England, Ireland, Canada and USA etc .

A fair line up the trouble is the bulk of people in Oz will hardly be tripping over themselves to watch tests involving Canada,US, Wales,Scotland and PI because of the possible one sided nature of the games and the fact they are not on FTA. They will do so with the Wallabies,All Blacks,Boks and Lions and thats about it if you go on TV viewing audiences.
BTW there will be a world cup in rugby league in 2008,100 year anniversary of the game in this country,and not before time.
We of course can expect the usual derision by sections of the union press
and fanbase.

Hey, can you think of any other thing that could turn religious and church going people people like the Samoans into league hating people when the game first arrived there (i.e the newspaper headlines of 'The Scum from the Slums of Northern England when BARLA made their first tour to Samoa in the 80's)? That is the power of rugby union's lies and filth and today the supporters of the game in the pacific are the followers of a sport espoused by racist & elitist decendants of Twickenham.
