Manly are in big trouble this year I think

We all know about Stewart's charge and Watmough just being a prick but there is obviously more to Manly's woes than just these two players.

With all of the media's frenzy reporting about Stewart and Watmough over the last few day's one little tidbit of information made me think that they are in deep crap.

The doyan of gutter reporting, Mr Ray "I wish I once was a footballer" Hadley reported that one of Manly's directors was as "missed as a pute" at the 5 hour director's meeting deciding Stewarts playing future last night.
At first I thought, "Give em a break Ray and get off their back" until I realised that Hadley's only way of knowing this is if he was told by the other directors!

He claimed that he was told by 2 'people'. He even described how the said director was slurring his words and spitting over the table while speaking.
Now this info could ONLY have come from other directors at the meeting which shows you that Manly are split right up the mddle and are doomed to fail from the top down this year.
There is going to be a lot more crap coming out of Manly this year and sprayed all over the papers.
The media will be all over this club like a pride of lions sniffing out a sick baby buffalo.

I think that this fued with Delmege and Penn has only just started and both will be using the media for point scoring, more so than their team I bet!

Manly have always thrived on the "us against them" mentality, they still have a great side, and in some circumstances, the media storm around the club this pre-season could make the playing group bond tighter and have them feel they need to prove a point so to speak.
I would'nt write them off just yet, they are probably starting the season on the back foot due to all the negative attention they are receiving , but they will still be a tough team to beat.

have to say as a manly fan disapointed in the lack of leadership, i feared this once bk and beaver left. How do the players let a diabetic get blind drunk and think he will act normally, the drunk boys of watmough, matai, hall and perry is no surprise. The most disappointing week in the club history.

I say this to the knockers one player does not make a side and comparing a sexual assault to getting away with gang rape is a joke, i am surprised the spiteful dogs fans are familar with a keyboard much more familar with a firearm.

we have good depth with the likes of bani and t. wiliams due back next week, and the next big superstar will hopoate while the likes of hargraves and rose cannot even get a go in 1st grade this week with our depth, so to doggies fans go and get ...........................

The police officer who conducted the case into the Dogs has come out and said that there was no rape that took place. He has even written a book about the whole sordid affair which was run by the media.
He has said that the media put the police under so much pressure that 3 of them have left the force because of the pressure that they were under.

Gary McEvoy, a senior office on the case, was the one who wrote the book. He wasn't the team leader or the one who conducted the inquiry. That was Jason Bretton (the copper who was the face of the inquiry basically).

McEvoy didn't say a rape didn't take police, he simply said there was no evidence to suggest that the Bulldogs were involved in it. Bretton came out and said there was plenty of evidence to suggest a rape had taken place (same as McEvoy), but there was nothing linking it to Canterbury players.

The only Hypocrite here is Gallop & his suspension of stewart. Where was the suspension last year for lockyer the australian captain being drunk & crash takcing a security guard?

The only thing Setwart is guilty of is being high profile & having an allegaiton made against him in which he has chosen to defend himself.
