Where did hear that Rainman? If that is true I'm dumbfounded. Management have got serious problems if they are paying that sort of money for untested injury prone players.

I'm amazed by that Rainman. I hope this is some sort of underhand attempt to justify how we can get Lyons under the cap;-) .

To get Lyon into Manly colours for 2007 the following might have to happen.

1. Release players - (Heckenburg,Alberts) If the reports are true, then thats about 350k worth of salary cap there. 250k of that will be used in Orfords payrise for 2007.
2. Do not resign players - Witt cost Manly about 200k a year, King would be on the same, even more. If he keeps putting in the performances that he has in the past 6 months, surely his head is on the chopping block? Maybe even Menzies or Kennedy has to go or be resigned on reduced contracts?

That leaves enough money there, around 350k for 1 quality signing.
