In last night's trial Steve Matai helped the Sea Eagles to a convincing win over the NRL premiers at Brookvale oval.

Halves Michael Monaghan and Matt Orford combined well behind a dominant pack, giving the Sea Eagles a timely confidence boost heading into the 2006 season.

MANLY 42 (Matai 2, Watmough, Leuluai, King, Stephenson, Hicks, Cherry tries; Orford 2, Williamson 3 goals) defeated TIGERS 18 (Crockett, Prince, Farrah Tries; Hodgons 3 goals).

Great result for your lot, the Tigers werent at full strenght, but they werent that far off it - and Manly absolutley pantsed them!

there were a couple more missing, Heighington, Fitzhenry and maybe 1 or 2 others from memory.

Aww poor Tigers, can't play without their stars. Hey Paulie I hope the Raiders are prepared to lose you know how fired up they get at Brookvale not to mention the fact that Monas loves playing against his former club. I do hope Dessie watched how great Monas and Ox played together, they work well and if Dessie plays his cards right he'll have an unstoppable combo.
