Inspirational skipper John Paul Cherry and fullback Mark Lennon face fitness tests but have been included in a 23 man squad for Sunday's Aussie Stadium semi final elimination clash with the St.Marys Cougars.

Cherry has a rib and shoulder problem which has had him sidelined for the last three weeks while Lennon has been out for five weeks with a hamstring injury.

Both will be checked at training later this week before coach Geoff Toovey names his run on side.

Cherry will play five eighth and Lennon at fullback if both are passed fit.

However, several selected players are also racing the clock to be fit for the match. These include centres Robert Toshak and Paul Stephenson.

Toovey said it was unlikely he would settle on a side until later in the week.

The Premier League side named today is: Jared Taylor,Darren Peachey,Paul Stephenson,Robert Toshak,Mitch Creary,Jeff Robson,Clint Halden,Ian Donnelly,Nathan Hollingsworth,Nick Paterson,Phil Moorwood,Kane Cleal,Glenn Stewart.Replacements: Sam Murphy,J.P.Cherry,Jason Commisso,Ben Smith,Adam Cuthbertson,Sean Dalton,Nathan Tutt,Brett Ryan,Jordan Macey,Mark Lennon.

The side play St.Marys Cougars at 1.35 p.m. on Sunday at Aussie Stadium prior to the Storm v Bulldogs NRL clash.

22-0 down before half time and storm home to win again. With the experience or lack of at Tooves disposal, that is an amazing effort to get them to the semi's. Cmon boys.... Go for the Grand Final now!

NEVER SAY DIE SEA EAGLES STAY IN TITLE RACE
Manly's gutsy Premier League side came from 22 nil down to beat St.Marys Cougars 28-26 at Aussie Stadium on Sunday and are now one win away from a grand final berth.

Geoff Toovey's side were starved of possession early in the elimination semi final and were behind for all but one minute and 40 seconds of the match.

Big centre Paul Stephenson crossed in front of a group of Sea Eagles fans at the southern end of the ground to snatch a thrilling victory.

Coach Geoff Toovey was elated with the comeback but disappointed at the opening 20 minutes performance by his side.

"We were awful early, couldn't get our hands of the ball and were always on the back foot - the two tries before half time settled the side down and we were much better in the second half.

"Although we were off our game we came back to win and I'm proud of their effort,"Toovey said.

Strong displays up front by Glenn Stewart,Nathan Tutt and Nathan Hollingsworth allowed Manly to gradually get on top of the Cougars forwards.

Experienced winger Mitch Creary again played strongly for the Sea Eagles.

Manly will play the Sydney Roosters next Sunday at 11.30 a.m. at Telstra Stadium. The match is being played early because of a Jim beam Cup final between The Entrance and Sydney Bulls at 1.30 p.m.If Manly win they will play the winner of the Dragons v Canberra semi final in the grand final on Sunday October 3.

MANLY SEA EAGLES 28 (P.Stephenson 2,J.Taylor,K.Cleal,JP Cherry,D.Peachey tries,D.Peachey 2 goals) beat ST.MARYS COUGARS 26 (P.Wallace 2,L.Dyer,D.Russell,M.Pow tries,D.Russell 3 goals)
