The current player roster for the 2004 season as at September 19 is as follows:

Scott Donald
Ian Donnelly
Luke Dorn (under contract for 2004 and told to seek another club)
Shayne Dunley

Solomon Haumono
Jarrod Heaney
Daniel Heckenberg
John Hopoate
Jason King
Mark Lennon
Kevin McGuinness
Steve Menzies
Michael Monaghan
Jye Mullane
Jeff Robson
Brett Ryan
Chad Randall
Dallas Rennie
Paul Stephenson
Brett Stewart
Glenn Stewart
Albert Torrens
Andrew Walker

Anthony Watmough
Luke Williamson

Of the listed players the following are new to the club:
Kane Cleal (19 year old prop from Parramatta)
Jonathon Denny (20 year old wing/centre from Broncos Colts)
Jarrod Heaney (23 year old Waratahs Rugby backrower currently playing number 8 for Manly)
Daniel Heckenberg (23 year old prop, former Australian schoolboy,ex St.George,Parramatta)
Mark Lennon (22 year old halfback, five eighth from Castleford,Former St.George,Cronulla junior)
Michael Monaghan (23 year old Canberra halfback)

Jeff Robson (21 year old Parramatta utility player - hooker, five eighth, halfback)
Paul Stephenson (21 year old former Australian schoolboy from Taree who has been a Broncos Colt last 2 seasons)
Andrew Walker (29 year old former Wallaby utility star)
Obviously there wwill be a lot of debate on the players. However, they have been chosen by people placed with that responsibility and with the full backing of the Board.Incoming coach Des Hasler has been a major contributor.Several of the players will be unknown to many - that doesn't mean they can't and won't do the job.It must be remembered that we finished second last in NRL and First Division this season ......
nowhere acceptable to the club or its fans.
It should be noted that almost 33 per cent of the squad are local juniors. - ADMIN

I have to admit. That a pretty week looking side. The halves look alright. But you guys really are lacking some quality props. Homono goes well for manly. But appart from that, you guys seriously lack go forward. Your outside backs look pretty light on for depth. If you get a couple of injurys, you will struggle.

Yeah, we are light on centres but there may be one or two more signings (hopefully centres).I think we are alright in the props department but some are untried at the top level. We Have King, Donnelly, Heckenberg, Rennie, Cleal and with Hopoate moving to the forwards I think Haumono will also be used as a prop!

Realistically, I'd be happy with a top 10 finish for 2004 and higher 2005/06! We have a heap of young blokes that might need a year in the top grade!

Us, Souths, Tigers, Sharks, Cowboys (maybe) will round out the bottom of the table..... again.

I'm not deceived or in denial.

In my opinion cowboys will be on the fringe of the top 8, and the tigers, who spent their money extremely well, will be top 10 or 11. Manly and souths to battle for the spoon

Tigers will still have nothing. They wasted their money. The best player on the market was Vagana. And he's not that much really.
