Actually I am from Argentina but I live in the US. Excellent game, I give it an 9.5 out 10 for first time game. And a 8.5 overall. It is a very addictive game. I decided to go with the PC version instead of modifying my American X-box to play inports. I got my copy by express mail from New Zealand today. I have already wasted to much time with it and since I am self employed my work has suffered today. :) This is definatelly a good sign I have not missed work for a game in a very long time. ;-) I cannot believe how well it plays on my slow arse computer, (pentium 3, 500mhz, 64mb geforce 4), maybe it is the geforce 4 pulling it through but I am able to play the game at full graphics, and I mean full highest of highest settings and I get up to now no slow downs. The controls are very responsive. I am using a Usb game pad that looks exactly like a ps2 pad. I saw few people complain that on the second to highest level they could only bring down the computer with a dangerous tackle. NOT SO!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU CHANGE THE CONTROL PAD CONFIGURATION SO THAT YOUR SPRINT IS ONE OF YOUR TRIGGER BUTTONS THEN YOU CAN SPRINT AND TACKLE AT THE SAME TIME, AND THIS CAUSES A MORE POWERFULL TACKLE THAT IS NOT DANGEROUS, YOU WILL BRING DOWN THE CPU IF YOU CATCH HIM CORRECTLY. My controls are set up perfect, I can pull off any move with no problem, people with the pc version should play around with the control set up untill it is to your liken. I had trouble with the defualt set up , particularly on defense, but once I changed it, it was awesome.
Where I would like to see improvment for the next one: Tighter control, at times on defense it does feel a little like they are on roller skates. The ability to Jump for the ball, please add this to the next version, and deflections, like off kicks so that if you recover your tackle count resets to 0. In Nrl you see many players try to kick it and deflect of a defender so that there team can get a new set of six tackles. Other then that this game is great, and awesome fun to play. MARIO AND TEAM, JOB WELL DONE. CHEERS AND SALU

Is this your first look at the sport or have u seen league before?

I have watched union for just about all my life but I had my eyes open to league about 6 months ago. I have started watching the games on the internet. Since we don't get much of league televized in the US. I like both codes now. I am really enjoying playing this game.

Good to see there's another Yank on the board besides me! :) I am contemplating buying the PC version, but I was just wondering, how difficult is it to modify a PS2 to an Australian/British one? Also, how expensive? Would it be easier to buy the PC game or to modify?

I highly recomond the PC version, I have a relatively slow computer and I still can play at on full graphics. My specs are on my previous post.
And when you do get it, take the time to learn the controls, at first it seams a little odd, particularly on defense but once you get use to it and set up the apropriate control set up, the game "Truly kicks some major Arse"

Here is my control set up. I will use the ps2 pad as a model.
First of I find better and tighter controls with the digital pad rather the analog.
R2=pass right
L2=pass left
L1=hand off/stif arm
R1=player change control
Triangle= sidestep
square= chip/bomb
X= punt/tackle
O= aggression/ I have x and o close together so I can press aggression and the tackle at the same time this works very well on defense. I had it previously on my trigger button but I changed it and it works better this way.

I'd have to say the PC version is the best available, especially for you guys internationally. Although it'd be funny to see an American modding their PS2 to play PAL games when for years its been the other way around :)
