Maroon coloured glasses

I dunno.... I may be viewing our chances through maroon coloured glasses, but I a bit surprised at the current evaluation of our prospects this year. I'm certainly expecting more than to just finish just above Souths. Our line up seems stronger than previous years, I have faith in the (unproven) ability of Des as a coach and there seem to be a positive air about the club and supporters I havnt felt in a long time.

Tell me, am I hopelessly optimistic or what?

Its just reality mate, I too suspected that I had the same condition but whilst there is the typical Manly bias I honestly do think we will do alot better this year and even make the finals. Ignore the fools that aren't even giving us a start, they'll be the ones with egg on their facts come September, not us..

Indeed CC eagle. Leave them alone. It'll be so Satisfying to watch them eat their words...

Though I don't like the Chances of a finals appearance, as more and more of the 'New wave' (Stephenson, The Stewarts, Watmough, Harris, Metallica Kleal etc*)put mortgages on their positions in the 17, we'll be the absolute bane of fringe finalists in the back end of the season.

i'm just happy to be able to put the maroon coloured glasses back on. i think this season should be a good stepping stone for the years ahead.i'm sure desy will have all the boys fit and there should be a good atmosphere in the club for the coming season and you never know we just might sneak into the 8

I'm really looking forward to this season......Dessie as coach has the team bonding really well and Blocker and Cleal have added so much to the coaching team....I reckon we'll see a marked improvement on last year and I look at this season as a building block to success in the near future!

good to hear the thoughts, I'm optimistic and have a gut feeling that we will be a force again soon. All we can ask is for commitment and consistancy from the team.... and who know what may happen ;-)

Yeah Consistency is gonna be a problem once again for Manly.
