Interesting times ahead re marshalls future but I'm sure he can still play World Cup unless he's off to Japan early or something.

I think the whole deal is about the Olympic 7's.

Titch was on Deaker last week with J Hart and said there was no gaurentee, Benji would get in the squad if "he was good enough".

cant see him making the squad..

I agree Oz, Olympics are only 3 years away, it'll give him two full years to learn the trade again and then in to the squad.

Even the Commonwealth Games are only 12 months away

In a way, it would be terrible for Union if he came over and starred, when his star was on the wane in League

I wouldn't be overly surprised to see him in Titans or Broncos colours next year

7s would suit Benji, him with SBW! :D

They were the halves at the ANZAC Test match and I was impressed. If Benji hangs around til the WC, he should be fullback.

If he goes, he goes. He's served the Kiwis well

Marshall is only good as the players around him who run into holes and give him options. I think he's done internationally...Foran & Johnson offer Kiwis more.

Glad to see him go he looked unhappy, disintrested and looks passed his best, never liked him as a person personally and when he made Captain of the Kiwis I felt a little sick

Besides that all the best for the future mate lol

The Wannabes have Berrick Barnes and Wyclif Palu both of whom were average fringe first graders as established test players.

Barnes was 17 or 18 when he left league wasn't he? And Palu would've been 21ish? Hardly reached their peak in league, so that's probably not a great comparison. Regardless, getting games for the Wallabies hasn't been that hard in the past 5 years or so... sometimes it seems that all you need is a couple of good games and a Kiwi background. Marshall doesn't have much of a hope of nabbing an ABs jersey unless he finds something like the form of a few years ago.

My quess.

He will play an Off-season rugby in Japan ...then comeback and activate an already arranged deal with either

Titans
Or
NZ rugby

Im pretty sure it will be Titans - his missus is a socialite - and wants to be famous from all reports
