The fight with Hindy was all because Matai took offence to Hindy executing a perfectly legal tackle.

Matai got up and threw a punch at Hindy then he tells the refs that he has a bulging disc in his neck.. and then 'warned' the refs that the next Parra player to touch his neck would cop it.

I never knew it was ok to play a contact sport with a bulging disc in the neck.

I never knew it was not ok to be tackled legally if it hurt or aggrevated an injury or condition..

IMO this is a clear indication of how soft we are as a team. We have a guy just asking to be baited and get sent off but we do nothing about it. I'm not saying they should have done something to cause serious damage even though i hate the merkin but he was just looking for an excuse to get into a blue and we should've given him one. It was the one time i expected Poore to stand up when he got on the field however it wasn't to be

Couldn't agree more. In fact, I think some well placed sledges would have probably resulted in him playing worse.

There is a big difference between getting fired up positively for your team, and losing the plot because you are angry. Matai was definitely the latter. He was an easy target, but we have no-one to take advantage of these things.

while he IS scum, I think on that occaision he was just trying to get sio into touch - it happens - just like getting your neck bent a bit in a tackle happens
