Slater has been married, had kids, played for Australia but his greatest excitement is seeing fatty finch hit a six to win a fairly innocuous T20 game.

Remember one gloomy test match, day 1, weather bad , hardly anyone in the ground as the coverage started 1 hour before start of play

"what a great day , electric here at the ground atmosphere is terrific, in anticipation of a great days play"

the guy is a carrot

should not have played in these t20 for mine, rest up , play a shield game and head of to south Africa

I fear the south African bowlers will bend him over a bit though

Different limited overs format but they’ve just put up the ICC rankings for ODI batsman during the SA vs India ODI and Warner is ranked 3.

I can’t remember him doing anything for some time, then again they play so much ODI’s these days it’s hard to remember a particular series standing out so I’m probably wrong lol.

Sabermetrics mother f**kers!!!!

Allrounder now at 8 moved down from 7 - check
Batting order stacked full of ball strikers - check
Not picking the 4 best bowlers - check

It is everything you wished for Hiney ;)

Well he is probably not Woakes level with the bat as yet, despite his test 98, but he certainly isn't batting at 7 with 4 bowlers batting after him like he was in the first game. So no, I'm not clutching at straws. You're the one who wants to split hairs as to his all round capabilities when it is only part of one point, of 3. He's certainly a better bat than Zampa and Lyon, that is for sure.

But the Aussie selectors see him as an allrounder and selection role in team selection is how I got Hiney in a twist to begin with:

Is Ashton Agar... an allrounder or a specialist spinner?

Australia... have apparently decided he’s an allrounder.

Well, at least the national selection panel has.

"I got told that they wanted to go with a specialist spinner and not an all-round option and that's fine," said Agar.

All I got from that was the sound of you gargling on Chris Woakes' cock
