Allrounder now at 8 moved down from 7 - check
Batting order stacked full of ball strikers - check
Not picking the 4 best bowlers - check

It is everything you wished for Hiney ;)
No mate, was chasing the barmaid at my local and she turned me down.

Sabermetrics let me down.

I would say watching him over the bbl and these t20 games Agar is better option as bowler hence is part of our top 4 bowlers. If he couldn’t bat to save his life he would still be in the side for mine, his bowling in t20 has been that good

3 from 3 and not having to rely on his batting wether it be at 7 or 8 says it all

Interesting debate whether he is indeed a better pure spinner than Lyon or Zampa. Agar is certainly economical, but lacks wicket taking ability. Agar's career economy I is higher than the previous mentioned, with much fewer wickets, but he had a good BBL this year. The Aus selectors are on the record as seeing him as an all round cricketer option ;) He has been batting 5 and 6 for the Scorchers.

Sometimes like India with Ashwin and Jadeja in tests, teams just get lucky with their added batting. But either way, he is batting at 8 now, not 7. So the batting has been strengthened with Finch at 5 and Zampa, a number 8 specialist bowler, duely left out, despite a career ER of just 6.00 in t20i. He may yet return, but will Agar to 7?

I think M Waugh and Punter have put together a nicely balanced team, where the obvious bowler for opposition to target is Stoinis, but Warner has Maxwell up his sleeve. And in batting, well the brutal and constant hitting power bats deep. Helps of course that Maxwell is in great form given his consistently SR of scoring in limited overs cricket, but with Finch, Stoinis and Carey after him, there's no let up for the opposition who are still welcomed by the sight Agar walking out if they get Aus 6 wickets down. Straya bat deep. I think Aus is well positioned for a successful WT20 at home in 2020. There is a nice team balance in play, with able reserve candidates for a lot of roles not in the squad. Often hallmarks of a strong team.
