Bitterly disappointing end.

Ponga’s average pass to Gagai was the turning point.
It wasn't the best pass, but at this level, in these games, you catch them. You just do. You catch harder ones. You catch everything to win in these games. It's just the way it is.

Again a loss that came down to execution in attack. Defended our arses off but couldn’t do enough to get points.
Probably how our year deserved to end. Still disappointing not to keep going.

They tried really hard, can’t knock that. Nobody gave us a chance in hell of winning a game so makes it that much more disappointing to go so close, especially when either team would have easily beaten the Sharks next week.

At the end of the day we just don’t have the cattle. A quality halfback gets us home today. The clubs doing the right thing with the clean out and I hope finishing in the 8 doesn’t take them away from that goal.

Some great efforts out there tonight. Obviously Ponga, but very happy with Marzhew and Jones particularly, and Fletcher Sharpe has a huge future. We’re just not clinical enough.

Hard to swallow given we were the better team for the majority of the game. But when you base your gameplan around defence and scoring the odd try you need to take the opportunities that are presented.

That Gagai drop will haunt everyone for a while, was essentially a 12 point turnaround once they scored that arsey try up the other end.

Also don't like to complain about refereeing too much but it was bog ordinary today. If a team as bad at challenging as us goes 3/3 you know you've fked up somewhere.

Infuriating to have two near identical games against the Cowboys up there this season, managing to derp defeat from the jaws of victory and hand it to a team that are absolute pretenders and don't deserve. We probably didn't deserve a better ending to the season either, but it would make it easier to take if we came out, looked lethargic and got dismantled from the get go, rather than take it from us like that.
Hopefully the Panthers can destroy everyone else remaining. And I'm sure even that won't be a polular opinion.
