Clune, Frizell and Barnett back. Mann and maybe Gagai also a chance?

The last 3 weeks have been thumpings against teams that will be playing finals this year. Surely we can show something this week and get a win.

You know how this mob work, don't you?

We see the Bulldogs on the fixture and each players think yep we're too good for them, we just need to turn up.. Then we have our pants pulled down..

You should know by now we play down to teams levels, and maybe a level or two below those who the players believe aren't worth getting up for!

They’re ahead of us on the ladder. If we rock up complacent I give up.

This really is last chance saloon now. The Bulldogs are very beatable but if we can’t get a win on the board here then it’s definitely season over and start planning for next year. Possibly with sacking AOB being first thing on the agenda. Still not 100% sure how I feel about that topic though.

Season is over already unfortunately. We can only afford to lose 2 or 3 more games if we were to make the finals. Best we can do now is try to avoid another wooden spoon

12 or 13 wins needed to make the finals, lets be optimistic and say 12 so we need 10 more.

Dogs x 2
Broncs x 2
Warriors
Raiders x 2
Titans x 2
Tigers

Not saying it's likely, but they can lose the 5 games against the good teams if they can clean up against the scrubs.

Hardly the way you want to make finals, but point taken.

It's similar to last year in a way, where if we get something close to our best 17 on the park we can make a late run. The way this season is unfolding though we may have done too much damage early on.

It frustrates me how completely uncompetitive we are once we have a few injuries. Yes the club has a depth problem but our form and effort basically fell off a cliff once a few things went against us. Can’t help but feel like Barnett getting sent off was a sliding doors moment. Not saying we go onto win all our games from there but it sort of feels like that’s loss and that moment sapped all the energy out of us. Also we could really have used Barnett’s effort and intent over the last 6 weeks. He would have been huge for us.

Gus to take that quote from Gardner about the Bulldogs being easy-beats and stick it up in the Canterbury dressing rooms pre-match...

A lot of us called it at the time. You just knew that was a moment that derailed us from the tracks.

Yeah it's a convenient excuse but it also happened just as we thought. Club has been incredibly predictable this year it's made me think I should become a clairvoyant! Eerie how many things I've been spot on with this year.
