I still believe his best position is second row or more ideally lock.
I think this is a good idea as well Vic, too slow for an outside back but having the skills of a back could see him develop into a good backrower.

He has a good start as he seems to be a big build (for a back), does he have the desire or want though? Is it worth way way extra sprint work to remain in the back or way way extra defence work to play in the backrow?

Lawrence turned into a solid backrower coming from the cenres and Curtis Siro did the same starting out as a 5/8.

Agree, but we are flush with potential good S/R's, we need competition in the centres....sprint training?

Talau is glaringly not a long term centre option for us.He is too cumbersome & regularly is found wanting against half decent opposition.Apparently he played 5/8 in juniors although the back row is his best hope of prolonging his NRL career

I think he’s been better , however the things he’s doing well aren’t really what a centre does. He has been great bringing the ball out of our own end, however he doesn’t beat his man one on one and doesn’t set his winger up, in fact he has blown multiple tries by not being able to do simple draw and pass in 2 on 1 situations

I still believe his best position is second see row or more ideally lock.

I don't think he has the ability to defend effectively in the centres either. I don't know what his best position is but second row makes sense simply because that's where talented footballers who aren't quite good enough to be specialists in other positions end up.

Chris Lawrence is the exception here. He was serviceable backrower, but Taylor just ruined his career by moving him. He didn't even have a good reason to move him either. The fact that he moved Lawrence from the centres to play blokes like Delouise Hoeter and Kevin Naiqama is just further evidence for what an idiot he is.

We played really well last game.
Sorry Ned, but we played pretty well for periods against Penrith. We were dogshit for periods as well.
We missed tonnes of tackles and let them rack up nearly 700 post contact meters. We also let them score 30 points when they didn’t play well.
I reckon we are a 50/50 proposition today but really, who gives a shit?

Fair enough. I guess I allowed myself to dream for a little while this season. Reality check has hit hard

OK I'm up for the change of coach but a change of halfback is required aswell. Like has he ever tried to get a set restart? He is also not putting effort in tackling or his kicks. Some of the young guys are struggling today like Cini and Blore but it's always trickling down from your leader not putting cos he is frustrated from no points and is quiet as a mouse.

The change of coach ? It was his job to get them up for the game, the fact that the Bulldogs were hungrier comes back to the players once they cross the white line. The effort on the field, the lack of leadership and game management from the 7 is simple on the team and the 7.

Disgraceful effort.

Last week i thought i saw something in Madden but no...he's our Chad Townsend lite....i think he must lock in his kicking and passing decisions a week in advance... not that it matters.
