MATCHDAY PROGRAMMES.

I was wondering if it would be possible to show a player background, profile ETC on the matchday programmes again.

Newtown did this in season 2001, and then it stopped the next season.

I for one liked to read where the players came from prior to joining Newtown, ( clubs, states, ETC ).

I don't know what anyone else thinks about this.

Is it too costly ? as if it isn't I was hoping it could start up again. :?: :?:

It is in the pipline again once we finalise the numbers. It is a good idea though agreed.

I have an issue with this as well.

I don't think costs are a problem. he issue is more getting the time to compose the whole thing.

I think expanding the insert into a whole A4 sheet in Landsacpe is the way to go. That way, you get 4 pages of stuff (size 210mm x 148.5mm).

My suggestions

Page 1 - intro with a column about the matches of the day. Maybe the return of the Phantom Bluebag or have a new columnist Centennial St Spy (Newtown Ear  )
Page 2-3 (Brief reports of all matches back to and including the previous home game. Possibly the two competition ladders)
Page 4 (Team lists)

The competition ladder would be a good idea also.

The newspapers never show it anymore, and last season the web site for Premier league wasn't updated regularly.

I like to follow the for and against, and team positions ETC.

I like the idea of a programme covering what is happening at the Jets and how about doing a round up of the PL and JBC? What about Col doing a small piece about the up coming game and what the fans can expect?

A column by Col Murphy would be good if you wanna read "Shit, f**k, bollocks, merkin, basard, f**k f**k f**k f**k. GET THE JETS CALLS!!! Shit, f**k, bollocks, merkin, basard, f**k f**k f**k f**k"

I'd love it personally.

Col has a lot o wit. We went past St Thomas Lewisham last year on the way back from the Sevens at St Mary's.

Col: That's my old high school. Well it used to be
Jeffles: There's still a school there. It's a special school for teenagers with behavioural problems
Col: Nothing much has changed then.
