Not sure if Burns will be given another go, he has a pretty terrible attitude.

Can't we just pick a batsman to replace Handscombe?
Besides the Hurricane's need him. I'm still looking forward to seeing the Matt Wade bat flip. I suggest everyone in the ground where a helmet... and maybe a full suit of body armour.

Is it time to take Hussey’s Wade Test call seriously? He’s the leading runscorer in this year’s Sheffield Shield competition (571 runs at 63.44) and Matthew Wade has carried his form into the shortest format of the game. The former Australian wicket-keeper brought up his half-century in style, belting a six over mid-on. He didn’t add another run, as he fell sweeping for 52. But when he fell to leave the Hurricanes at 3-112, the game was as good as wrapped up. Earlier in the month former Australian batsman Mike Hussey said Wade was good enough to bat in the top six in Test cricket. It would still be unlikely Australian selectors picked Wade as a specialist batsman. But with four Tests in the summer left, Peter Handscomb needs to score runs at the MCG or Hussey’s comments might not seem so farfetched.

Should be skipper too.

1-Good chat
2-Netting well
3-Totally inept at his main disipline.

Langer can’t wait to get him back in the side.

The Admiral missed out again despite dominating at every level this year. No one has puffed their chest out and strutted around like they've got two watermelons under their arms like Wadey.

Hohns says he should bat higher, I say the Admiral is being duped.

Talking himself up on Foxsports this morning saying he is ready to take up the challenge of middle order batsman for Australia.

Does he really think that this will make the selectors change their mind ?

Scoring the most runs in shield cricket down in Hobart didn't help his cause. Wadey will try anything at this stage.

At least he realises his days of been a keeper are over so kudos for that.

Also speaking truth to power (or truth to morons) by taking aim at selectors is always welcome.

In the paper today blathering on about how he isn't going to change the Tassie side batting order just to help himself.

But isn't that exactly what he did when in Vic at the expense of Maxwell?

Poor Wadey - was picked to replace Nevill for nonsensical reasons, and now is not being picked for nonsensical reasons... nice symmetry though...

The Admiral tells it like it is.

Matthew Wade says he’s not the only cricketer feeling frustrated at mixed messages from Australian selectors. Wade says he’s no longer “hung up” on being snubbed but admits annoyance at the reasoning from national selectors. “It’s just a little bit frustrating,” Wade said after blasting an unbeaten 84 from 49 balls for the Hobart Hurricanes in Monday night’s BBL match. Every Test, ODI, T20I, and BBL match live. SIGN UP NOW! “And I don’t think I’m just talking for myself, I think all players around the country - if the criteria is hundreds and scoring runs, then pick the guys that are doing it. “If that is not the criteria, then let us know.”

Wade, who has now scored 1084 runs in all formats this summer, said he would have loved a chance to press his Test claims by playing for a Cricket Australia XI in a tour match against Sri Lanka. NSW’s Kurtis Patterson struck twin tons in the tour game and has been rewarded with selection in Australia’s squad for the first Test against the Lankans. Wade had previously been told by chairman of selectors Trevor Hohns that he wasn’t gaining selection because he batted too low in Tasmania’s order.

’s just hard, you know. I get told one thing and then I see the comments in the paper the next day about Kurtis, about piling runs on and getting picked,” Wade said.

“So I don’t know, it’s a little bit frustrating ... I don’t think it’s going to change. I’m not sure what is going on.” Wade said he was now refusing to dwell on being overlooked. “Two weeks ago I was a little bit hung up on it and didn’t really know why I wasn’t getting an opportunity,” he said. “And now, it doesn’t really worry me too much. “I don’t play cricket solely to play for Australia. I play cricket to win games for the Hurricanes and win games for the Tigers. “I have done that throughout my whole career, I have never been the guy that goes out and plays for individual accolades.

Australian of the year imo.
