Dragons should get Tedesco to teach Dufty how to tackle in last line of defence. Dufty should learn from the best.

everyone is giving Lomax credit for running down Tedesco but at the end of the day it was Dufty that ran down Tedesco and tackled him. Not faulting Lomax he did show speed to catch him but he failed to make the tackle. Dufty showed more speed and made the tackle.

The powers that be think they've got another Ben Barba when he's more like Bevan French. Interesting to see how Dufty's career progresses in any case.

I think it is time to try something different. Dufty did score a really great try, there is no denying it however, he did struggle under the high ball and in defence; that's where he was at late last year and that is the main reason Widdop was selected ahead of him at fullback.

It's time to put Dufty on the wing. Teach him to go to ground when taking a high ball near his line and to make his way infield when carrying the ball into the defence. He is fast and allusive just as Slippery Morris used to be and I am sure could score a multitude of tries if selected on the left or right wing.

If Mary wants to persist with Aitken at 3 (I don't believe he should) then select Lomax at fullback and see how he goes. It is no good just doing the same old same old because the same errors continue to occur and we just don't have the backline talent to keep backing up those errors. So for the Eels game, I'd suggest the following 17:

1. Lomax
2. Dufty
3. Aitken - only because I have to
4. Lafai
5. Pearson
6. Norman
7. Hunt - Field if Hunt is injured
8. Vaughan
9. McInnes
10. Kerr
11. Sims
12. Frizell
13. Lawrie

14. Robson - McInnes needs a break towards the end of each half
15. Graham
16. Host
17. Leilua
possm, Dufty is #1 or not in the NRL team.

And Field is bigger & quicker than Duff FFS
Let him loose again
Rewind Waterboy

And Duff’s try reminded me of those Gasnier tries we watched from The Hill all those years ago

Haven’t heard a roar like that since then - or his try against the Sharkies a couple of seasons ago.

Why didn't Dufty go in hard and help Lomax instead of running past the tackle? To be 100% honest I have been disappointed with Dufty's outright speed in games, he is definitely quick off the mark.
