potent combination? When did they form that seeing as though they have only played on the same side of the field once and Mr Vagana didn't pass him the ball

and defence - he's satisfactory - nothing more and often worse than that.

I think you'll find it's more a case of we don't view either of them as an option and so will not renew their contracts as they expire.
Reick's contract just happens to expire before Merritts.

Give it 12 months and it'll be adios muchacho to Merritt as well

how? ...he fumbles his way through games, constantly has tries scored on him ...defending kicks he is terrible, his hands are ordinary and has trouble not tripping over his own feet ....i admit every few months he can pull off a blinder. But for every good game he has five bad ones.

without his speed he has nothing. I think eventually merritt will be a better player than rieck ever was or will be.

His hands have improved, his defence has improved, his foot work has improved. The only problem he has is defending against high kicks when he has to go up against someone like Minichiello.

Look at the Dogs game this year. Rieck neutralised every threat on his flank. Same with the Knights game - all their tries were scored on the side with the hopeless dropkick Merritt tackling his invisible friends all day.

I like Reick. I know he has bombed more tries then he's scored, but I feel that we have more attacking options when he is on the field. We certainly have more speed.


I hope we keep him. It'd piss me off to see him go to Manly.
