f**k me, what a ground! Went to the cricket today (3rd day) and it was great, great atmosphere. The cricket equivalent of the footy stadium, ie a big 'major' stadium that actually has been well designed and keeps the atmosphere in the ground. Wathcing AFL there must be great as well. I was only in the concourse but still excellent seats. Going over to the barmy army was fun also.

One complaint tho - not 1 but two large poster things of Nathen f*cking Buckley. Other than that great ground.

ummm, we were in the concourse where the olympic stand and southern stand pretty much join up, near the barmy army, at the section where all afl captains are featured on the colums. Sorry i dont know where the old stands were situated.

sorry, yeah we were in m54 in the concourse of the olympic opposite the ponsford (which im sure you'd already know)

around the southern stand they have huge pictures of AFL captains/ex-captains and champion cricketers

without doubt the MCG is the best sports arena in Australia and Collingwood are lucky that its their home ground and that the ponsford stand is for all us members

I went there for day 2 of the cricket. The atmosphere was awesome. The cheer that went up when Roy scored his ton was amazing - it was still going when the next ball was bowled!

The M.C.G. is one of the world's greatest stadiums fortunatley Victorians are a fine lot that acctualy fill it regualy.
