Especially after watching the rnd2 game again on Fox2.
In the second half the Rorters were penalised 10 times for play the ball infringements. One run was 4 in succession. But no binning of any rorters of course.
Stuart, Fitler & all had dish plate eyes. They new the panthers were coming back.
The panthers won the second half easy with a lot more gas in the tank.
Telling factor was how many tries they bombed. I lost count after 6.

Roosters could not play any better. Panthers probably could not have played much worse.

For the Panthers to win 2 things need to happen
1. They need to turn up
2. Harrigan has to referee like referees should & penalise the Rorters for jumping & infringeing in the play the ball.

It's going to be a good day!! :D :D

What happened there, Reefy?
Wasn't Gould at work in the media that week telling the refs how to penalise the Panthers correctly?

Exellent summation of a round 2 game, I will overlook the fact that it was actually in round 3 they met. But hey, why let facts get in the way of a post. Seems to be a common thread with some of you.

What should have been better is if you would also look at a more recent clash, say Round 20, just to get a complete picture. But I guess that would asking too much for a person who can't even get the rounds correctly in the first place.

Anyway, I have no doubts that today's game cannot be judged on previous rounds. I'm sure that who ever wins will deserve the spoils of victory. For me, I intend to soak up the atmosphere and watch two worthy teams do battle for the ultimate prize.

It's a shame to see other supporters out there that see this as an opportunity to vent their bitter sorrows on the Roosters.

Obviously I was referring to the last meeting but I guess you knew that I missed a digit.
Sounds like a worried chook supporter.
With good reason too!

I think the first half was a lot more telling. 26-nil. Penrith scored three tries in eight minutes in the second half while Brad Fittler was off the field (after he was illegally speared into the ground), but as soon as he returned we scored again, almost instantly.

But I don't think the past will count for much today.

Spell check, no thanks. I never won any spelling bee contests at school.

Worried, yes.
Nervous, yes.
Anxious, yes.
Confident of a win, quietly.
Proud, extremely.

Thanks for your concern.

1. Penrith Turned up
2. Bill tried his best not to referee, but he just managed to do so.

Easy.
Pretenders.
Never to be seen again in the finals.
