Media Presence??

Just wondering if anyone else out there is a little concerned aboput the apparent lask of media presencde our club occupies.

When you look at clubs like Wests Tigers,Souths and Titans they are seen or heard far more than the Parramatta club in radio of TV, is this a deliberate action by the club, as if it is , it is no consolation to the supporters or to the sponsors.

There was some understanding about the media problems with our last coach, but I am absolutely amazed that even the Titans are heard more on Sydney radio in 2007.

When Hagan was coach in Newcastle he had a coaches corner segemnt for 30 minutes weekly on radio, where he would take calls and talk about the team etc.

What do we get, one of the better supported clubs, answer - very little and when this is taken intio account with the after match activities which are basically non existent , then I am concered as to where our media presence is headed.

I believe we deserve and should expect a lot more than what we get from our current media department.

Any further thoughts??

tigers have the best superstar in the game atm :sarcasm: , in benji. who is always sitting on the sidelines

titan are the new team in the comp and are doing rather well

souths are revamped with their pretty boy owners, started well and are now struggling

these are the reasons these teams are in the press always.

i ratherplod along quietly and start causing ripples in the water when in really matters.

but the sponsors might start to be upset by lack off media presents, so i see your point

I think we've improved in certain areas, especially in our 3 local scribes and the weekly information on the website, however there can be a little more presence in the various radio sports programs but unfortunately that appears to be dictated by presenters who have an affiliation with certain sides and they seem to get more than a decent run.

Yeah from what I have seen so far, Hages likes to talk. He likes to be involved with what is happening throughout the club and within the local community. Would like to see us utilise this more.

I agree.

We do not use the media at all.

We should have been talking about Matai's tackle, sticking up for our players and putting pressue on the judiciary. We should have leaked news of the virus through the club before we ran on the field against the titans.

We it comes to using the media, we are pretty much amateurs
