Media trolls at it once again

Warlock,
I think you maybe looking at the article too deep.
It's one of those harmfull polls that players participatein ...just for a 'shit-stir.' Fitler may have been unanamously voted as the most overrated player bysome of his peers, but anyone who remembers his acheivements throughout his great career, will take the article with a grain of salt.
ButI do understand what you're saying when you make mention of it the pollbeing 'insulting' and 'influential' - because people who may not remember his entire career, may come to inacurate conclusions. The last thing I'd hate to see, is fans calling for his head as the Australian captain and Roosters leader, due to a (supposed) players poll, which probably only consulted a mere small portion of players.
I'm still very skeptical as to whether the poll was authentic, or even actually took place.
Laugh it off ... 'cause that's all it is - a joke at best.

Cheers - Aaron C.

You know what the most dissapointing and disturbing thing about this article is?
The paragraph below by Sportal.com .........

" Fittler, barring injury, will lead Australia on a third Kangaroo tour at the end of the year that will mark his departure from international rugby. "
"International rugby" ??? When our very own journalists and Rugby League 'representatives' fail to correctly refer to our game as Rugby League. That in my opinion is far more damaging than a pointless poll.
It's sad really. Wouldn't you agree?

)

I'm also not a fan of these poll, as there only purpose is to create problems amongst players, and something for the talk back radios to discuss for a week or so.
If the poll results and the way in which it was conductedare legitamate, than I can't believe how Fittler won so comfortably. He may not be as effective and good as he once was, but to call him the most overratted player in the NRL is a joke.
I'd like to know who exactly the players surveyed were, as I tend to think alot of players are envious of his lifestyle, riches and acheivments (just to name a few) over his great career.
Maybe a slight case of the tall poppy syndrome, perhaps ?
