Megadeth...The System Has Failed

Call me a fan of less heavier styled metal but hell, The System Has Failed seems to be a killer album.......Mustaine has nailed it with this album, i've never liked anything by Megadeth prior to this - but this kills.......

The choice cuts from the album from my point of view are Die Dead Enough, The Scorpion, Kick the Chair (this cranks hard), Back in the Day and Of Mice and Men

Turn it up and sing along.....one of the most decent albums i've heard in a while

Megadeth are a great case for the legalisation of heroin, because they've sucked since Dave got off the stuff.

I don't hate Dave, but yes I love the old Megadeth. The only albums I really get into are "Peace Sells..." and So Far, So Good, So What..." which they made when both the Daves had serious drug problems. (the Debut album was good in places too, particularly "Rattlehead") After they cleaned up and got all musically tight with "Rust in Peace", for me the edge to their music dissappeared, there had always been this not-quite-in control, slightly unhinged aspect to their sound that I loved and it wasn't there any more.

Last I heard, Dave Mustaine was hanging out with the guys from P.O.D. preaching about his new found love of god.
I am not really a fan of Megadeth, I only have 'So Far, So Good, So What?', but his voice is just beyond irritatating. I'll consider giving this a listen.

He sings normally on this album, none of that screechy style vocal.....so it actually might be bearable for ya

Yeah, well i guess we can sacrifice a quick death / drug hell for crappier music SpaceMonkey, i know i would lol

Don't get me wrong, I don't blame the guy for kicking the drugs, he was just an example of how difficult circumstances can produce unique art.

I love Mustaines snaring growl on the first three Megadeth, it fits the music perfectly - his singing voice though? Blargh, shockingly bad
Megadeth should’ve stayed as the raw side of Metallica's shadow, heck - even Youthanasia had moments of brilliance
The edge in Megadeth's music has all but gone, so what do we have left? A bunch of reject riffs and an album still left in construction, this album is really bad.
Damn it, Dave. Stop. Quit. Die. Do something. The horse has disintegrated into fine dust, and you must stop beating it. For the good of all in the world... GIVE UP

Wasn't bagging what you were saying, just trying to put a little humour back in, as you can see, its not my forte lol
