What....A.......Game!

Absolutely STUNNED with that effort - the best defencive performance since 2009 easily.

Biggest question - where has that been for the last two years???

Gotta say that Melbourne were pretty shit. As they have been for the past month.

What were the stats on our completion rate ? FMD we were diabolical.

Our execution and organisation was pretty ordinary, but you cannot argue with the application and commitment, as well as the attitude in defence...

We certainly would not have won if Hindy did not play.

I hope those merkins who questioned his "culture" give themselves a pen in the jugular.

So our four wins this year have been against three Top Four teams and...the team running equal last, who we barely beat after an extra ten minutes...

Seriously, wtf? Haha.

I also think people who question the respect he comands as a leader were shown that to be untrue

I have never seen a bunch of footballers so happy that someone scored in all my life !!!

Perhaps they were just happy to not have to see his arse again???

But seriously, I think it shows how much respect the players have for Hindy

Yeah i noticed that, you'd have thought that try won us the GF. Or maybe they are sick of seeing Hindy's tatooed rump???

I thought we had a couple of decisions go away in the first 10 minutes, but the rest of the game it was as if the on-field refs thought that the Smith try should have been disallowed and were trying to get a square up for the Storm for the rest of the match. The thing that really pissed me off was the inconsistency between calls made against the two teams for the same thing and even for/against us at the beginning of the match vs at the end. If SK was staying, he should've chucked a Toovey.

Having said that, I'm extremely proud of how the players maintained their attitude when refs calls, stupid mistakes and injuries started mounting against us. In the past, any one of those factors would've caused them to hang their heads and drop their bundles. Would've liked to see the error count lower, but that defensive attitude was massive.

What a great result! Genuinely surprised how we jumped out of the blocks and kept up the effort for the whole 80mins to get the win. The motivation against Melbourne was clearly on show, and it just makes you wonder "what if" in terms of capturing that same motivation/effort in other weeks, or 50% of weeks, or at least more often.

Go Parra :D.

Eels fans are complaining on twitter that Cam Smith did not get sighted by the match review committee.

I know he's a merkin, but what did he do ? I don't recall any dramas at the ground.
