The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their NRL and Toyota Cup sides to take on the St George Illawarra Dragons in this Saturdays Charity Shield.
Rabbitohs Head Coach Jason Taylor has named his best available team for this weekends annual clash, widely regarded as the unofficial kick off to the NRL season.

Help Raise Money for Souths Cares & the Victorian Bushfire Appeal
Several collections will take place at the Charity Shield, raising money for some much needed causes.
The Royal Fire Brigade will be on hand collecting for the Official Victorian Bushfire Appeal. As we all know, a great many have suffered and lost in this disaster, so we encourage you to dig deep and thrown a few coins in.
Souths Cares will also have Volunteers on hand collecting gold coin donations for The Charity Shield News, the official match newspaper. Funds collected contribute to some great community projects including:

Rabbitohs Members Bar
The Rabbitohs Members Bar will be open this Saturday night for Members wishing to enjoy a drink before and after the NRL Match. This will be in the usual location of 'The Cauldron' (North West Terrace of ANZ Stadium).
Please note that there will no official Post Match in The Cauldron. This will commence following our first official home game against the Eels in Round 2.
Members will need to show their Membership Card to gain entry.
Customers not travelling on direct services from Central Station to Sydney Olympic Park should travel to Lidcombe Station and change for the Olympic Park Sprint, operating every 10 minutes from 6.50am until midnight.
Alternatively, use the 131 500 Trip Planner to help plan your journey. It will give you up-to-date train and bus timetable information. Timetable information for buses replacing trains is available from Thursday 26 February. Visit www.131500.com.au.
Member Cap & Reggie Rabbit Pack Collections
Members can collect their Membership inclusions at the 2009 Charity Shield match this Saturday night. Members can collect their 2009 Member Cap and show their support of the Club amongst the big crowd expected for the unofficial season opener against the Dragons.
Junior Members can also collect their packs which includes a cap, backpack, football and drink bottle!
To collect your Membership inclusions at the Charity Shield, head to the Rabbitohs Merchandise Outlets situated at Aisle 127 on the western side of the ground and Aisle 110 on the eastern side of ANZ Stadium. Remember, you cannot collect your benefits without your redemption cards.
