Member Information Evening - May 16

Just got an invite to the member information evening. One can attend in person (‘gong) or online. I’ve opted for online. One is then asked what topic you would like discussed and your name. Panel will consist of Spider, Lancaster and Harlan.

If only one could just unload:

Whether we need a new showcase for the spoon

Ramsays replacement

Just accepted the invite (on-line). And I have submitted my question basically along the lines of how the joint venture was supposed to create a "super club", but instead we seem to be in continual decline. Do the Board and Management have a plan to turn this around and if so what is it?

Interested to hear what they have to say.

Looking at it in an optimistic way , does this mean they will have good news such as a new coach to announce ? Surely they won’t go in to this with no new information? If so there will be shitfight !

We don’t need to look outside for players as we have the talent in our lower ranks to build a great team around.

I have so much frustration with this continual rhetoric of the club I don’t know where to begin.

Obviously we just need to find out who the new coach is and hope they assert themselves and identify, and attract a heap of outside talent.

Did you tell him he has shit for brains and the only thing he is good at running is running a club into the ground? How that merkin ever got appointed is beyond me. Another great decision by this awesome club.

I just wanted to get a sense myself from the top, and while there are definitely ‘discussions behind closed doors’, being asked to wait and put our trust in our current underachievers has run its course.

I’m seriously at the point that if something sensational doesn’t happen in next week or two that shows those running the show have some semblance of pride I am done. This is not the club we grew up with. In name only.

I wish i could go to it. Why the hell is it down in the Gong-all these were previously at St George Leagues. Is it because theyre scared of what would happen if they let the true supporters from St George front up and yell at them. I assume they think the Gong is a safer bet. Anyway 8pm online it is and i cant wait. I really hope they let a few people speak-maybe then they might gauge the anger. We'll see-but at least now we have a chance to voice our opinion. I hope everyone who gets an invite takes it up and lets see what we can achieve. I'll give them my 2 cents worth!!!

are self serving grubs.They tremble at the thought of being replaced. They and they alone are the number one problem with our club.
We really must get the toxic Board out of our club.
They are so bad.We can't attract players(they just won't come) . Now Coaches are in the position. They are unwilling to relinquish there power to the Board.

The board can’t be voted out. So all these lollipopers have to do is sit back and count their $$$. No need to perform and have the fear of being axed over their heads.

favouring members to vote.
(Have to be a full member for 3yrs. To vote have to attend AGM, then change the day & time to a Sunday morning 8am.etc.) Lead by the slippery Doust ( king of the Back room Deal) .We are doomed until we can get a full inquiry into the behaviour of this BOARD.
