Don't worry too much about Da Supa, he is our resident example of a living farkwitted Stains Supporter.

Give him time, he will offer more proof. Not that it is needed of course.

Just be patient.

On the Interstate/Country membership topic....

My wife tried to renew my membership today (my xmas pressie) which was Interstate last year. The last time I looked there was still an Interstate (tix to either Donkeys or Storm) and a Country membership (tix to Sharks home game) as per the flyer sent out to members.

Seems it's been changed to a combined membership - Country/Interstate - with the only option being tix to Donkeys/Storm. Being from Canberra, this means I have no real options available to me, other than a non-ticketed membership. I would've taken Country and traveled up for a game.

If anyone wonders why there is only Donkeys/Storm apparently they were the only interstate clubs who would reciprocate a ticketing deal (seems we're not very appealing).

Anyway I have contacted the club and spoke to a nice lass, who said yes that's a bit odd, write an email and I will give it to my boss on Monday when he's back from leave.

Anyway we'll see what happens...but they're making it bloody hard for me to give them my money!!!

Just a guess, but maybe they would replace a Donkeys/Melbourne game with a Sharks home game as part of the membrship package?

I am certainly going to see if they will as although I may not make the Brisbane or Melbourne game I will be down for a home game.

Yep that's what I'm hoping will happen...which in effect is the old Country membership.

I'm guessing they may have just stuffed up the options offered on the website, because the membership flyer says that Country membership is still an option...

^ Don't pay.

Does anyone know what a Cov's Club Truckers Cap looks like ? Does it have a picture of the great man on the cap ?

It's like one of those oversized cowboys hats that the cowpokes from Townsville wear, but it is shaped like a yankee style baseball hat, but the bonus is it has two afterburners just above the ears.

The more expensive version has fake smoke billowing from the afterburnes but it is really a talcom powder style product that is harmless to humans. But be warned it can reek havoc with the poor bastard that sits behind you.

With your income I'd go the more expensive version.

its cheap at half the price

(got to love the offseason)

the club has internal targets.

hence no pissing contest measurement on the website like souths.

we were in the bottom 3 clubs last year. would be looking to improve that id say

I received a membership booklet and forms from the Sydney Swans today.
Apparently they want me to be their next 'major signing'.

They must get information from Ticketek on who buys tickets to their games, as they seem to know that I attended one of their games last year. Very sneaky.

Good marketing ploy, however it won't help them in my case.

yeah f/e

from what i was told by the club, their opinion was to have internal targerts rather than say..10 thousand members and have the tally on the website. given our position, performance and bad publicity in 09 it was decided that if we didnt reach our goals (like the raiders last year)
then it would make the club look even worse.

i have no idea how many memebers we had or have, but news from the club is were up 70 percent on last year at this time.

we should be aiming for atleast 10,000 season ticket holders

yeah thought it was around that figure, not sure if was mention only after our bad start to the season. Something like we need to avg 13k now for the seaon to break even?
Seems like a pretty high figure would put a game at a figure of 325k to run or 3.5 to run the stadium for our home games saying the avg person paid $25.
And we have contracted out our in ground catering?
thanks for the info
