dont think so. Heres an idea but, Mellor to the bench, Covell to the centres, merrit to his outside, bird to Lock to replace Gallen, Aitken to 5/8 to replace injured Dykes.

1. Peachy
2. Simmons
3. Vagana
4. Covell
5. Merrit
6. Aitken
7. Kimmorley
8. Stevens
9. Hilder
10. Nutley
11. Williams
12. Bailey
13. Bird

14. Maiva
15. LooLoo
16. Mellor
17. Sullivan

unlikely mellor will get dropped for an untried covell in the centers

both have been combining well

aitken doesnt have it imo

doom would probably look to get a call-up, if fit

maybe hilder into lock?

just leave bird at 5/8 to minimise disruption to the team

Covell is a utility
he can play anywhere. Give Merrit his spot and you could move Covell to centres, halves or the backrow. Even off the bench as an impact utility

It’s got to be time for Aitken to have a good crack at first grade, and I mean in the starting line up, playing next to Kimmorley - not on the bench and put into the game in the dying minutes like on previous occasions. If he is given a real opportunity and plays with Brett I believe he will prove what a great player he is.

I’ve been watching him play for Newtown each week and I think he has done enough to earn himself a spot next week if Dykes is out.
