Picked up some fantastic new releases this week.
Autopsy - The Headless Ritual (crusty old-school death metal from one genre's most legendary bands)
Ash Borer - Bloodlands (absolutely collossal cascadian black metal)
Altar of Plagues - Teethed Glory and Injury (really good progresssive/post-black metal)
Yeah checked that out last week, very cool.
Newsted's album is pretty sick. Solid start to finish, no super standout songs but enjoyable nonetheless. Jason Newsted (former Metallica) on vocals and bass.
Bought a whole bunch of Dream Theater and Mastodon albums... old stuff.
Carcass has a new album Surgical Steel getting rave reviews, finally went back and checked out their classic Heartwork from '93, f**king excellent. Could tell it was gonna be good from the first riff.
