He was never going to get a starting gig at Newcastle whereas he was a guaranteed start at Rovers

^ Godinet and Williams aren't anything like first choice players. Green is returning to the NRL next year and Chase would get a run in most NRL teams. Walsh was joint fourth in the Dally M standings last year and hardly a NSW cup player.

Daniel mortimer, maurice blair, ben roberts, luke kelly, tyrone roberts, josh mccrone etc.
Just because you're not JT, Cronk or Cherry-Evans doesn't mean you're not an NRL player.

They sign crap halfs all superleague clubs, they should develop there own that is the point I see.
Don't just sign a guy on basis of being a nrl player if he is just that barely.

I watched Dobson in NSW Cup about 6 weeks ago against Penrith. He was way too good for that standard. Has a solid all round game and would be a great acquisition and is proven in the ESL.
