Mike Mckenzie

Any of you guys know whats happening/happened with Mckenzie? I heard he was a holdout at the packers, but i havent heard anything since and with the season coming up I cant find him on any of the packers roster sheets

He is still holding out, and apparently threatening to retire if he's not gotten out of Green Bay somehow. Apparently last time anyone else showed much interest was the Saints back in June. Word has it that this dispute could still not be completely unresolvable, as the $100,000+ Yankee dollar game cheques that will not be coming his way soon could start to bite on him.

Being a pack fan this has been so dam annoying..especially since we need all the corners we can get...

This all started out when ed donatell (defensive coach) was fired and instead of promoting the assistant defensive cord mike sherman went out and got a new coach...then mckenzie complained...and during his complaints things began to escalate and eventually saw mckenzie complian about his current contract in.

His complaints were basically saying his one of the top 5 corners and he isnt getting anywhere near that money...

The saints did show some interest in mckenzie but sherman is after at least a 1st rounder for mckenzie also he doesnt want to trade with an NFC team anyway...the saints offered a 2nd roud pick.

things dont look good as both sides are too far in, the pack do need mckenzie but the pack simply cant afford him...
