So, how many get out of jail cards are you allowed per season?
I thought we had used ours against the Bulldogs.

Fingers crossed for Locke. That looked sickening. The padding looks a bit meagre compared to some of the ones around the grounds.

Roosters can count themselves more than a tad unlucky as they looked the better team for the whole game.
30 offloads in those conditions is an amazing stat.
Just goes to show that you got to play to the last minute.

nb. that first try to Locke looked dubious but the Warriors due a bit of luck with officials, so Im not complaining.

Yep, very lucky. Locke's first was a no try for me. Hope his injury isn't too bad, but my guess is he'll be out next week at the very least.

We did it against the Titans last year at Bluetongue, now we've done it against the Warriors at Christchurch. These moved home games are becoming a bad omen lol.

Well done, good luck.

Agreed on Brown, Louisi spilled ball twice on attack when on for him. Absolutely courageous by Lockey, hope he's ok.

Surprised how harsh everyone is being on the team.

Thought that was a very brave performance, not just the last 5 but the whole 80. It was a shame we let in a couple of soft tries, but on balance, we did really well to keep them to only 3 tries with all the football they were playing. I reckon we scrambled really well on defence and did enough to stay in the game right to the end.

We don't have the players or the cohesion on attack to match the expansive style the Roosters played imo, especially in terms of vision in the halves. Maloney played ok but John imo was crap.

It kinda reminded me of a 2007 or 2008 performance, not pretty but plenty of guts on D.

it's a mix of us doing enough to stay in the game and sheer luck. given how much defence we had to do compared to how little attack we got, we did bloody well.

I thought that at times we played a tad too cheeky. What with silly offloads in our end of the field, in the wet less. You cant just rely on staunch defence in this weather. Other than that, the determination that Locke showed all match should serve as a rev up to some of the others in the side.

The fact that the two teams opted for different styles doesn't make us lucky.

They played expansively, and in most cases we defended well enough to keep them out.

Even without the late try we would've only lost on goal kicks anyway.

Just saw some more replays of the Locke try and am amazed anyone could be adamant that he didn't score it.

If we played cheeky then how cheeky were the Roosters?????

We were pretty much up the guts, certainly can't say we chanced our arm too much.

Anyway, pretty much over trying to defend my own team in my own forum, just gonna enjoy a thrilling victory even if I'm the only person alive who thinks we were good value for it.

It was like a flashback to the latter part of the 2008 season. We grinded out many a win in the rain against (more) fancied opposition. Good omen for us, we never really looked likely in the wet.

Now we're only outside of the 8 on points difference. Next week against Parramatta at home is huge for us. We still need to win at least 6 of 10 to make it through, and we have some tough games coming up.

I've been on the end of many of them for the Warriors. I remember about 3 in a row I think it was in 2006 where we kept losing by 2.

Nonetheless, we kept at it. I thought the Roosters expansive ball work was exceptional in that first half, and to hang close was a gutsy effort. Some of their forwards were wrecking balls in that first half and we needed to grind our way back into it.

A lot of the players could learn a lot from Locke's commitment.

I thought the Roosters were hungrier than us but in the end a gutsy win on a miserable day.

4th,5th,6th and 7th still have 2 points to come from the bye as well.
