POOR old Parramatta have finally hit rock bottom - with even favourite son Nathan Hindmarsh tipping against them. Despite playing his last game with the Eels 16 months ago, its understood an extremely loyal Hindmarsh has never tipped against the club for which he sweated, bled, starred, tackled, lost his pants, played Grand Finals and chalked up 330 games.
Until now.
In a weekly segment with sports internet site roundeight.com, the Eels favourite conceded he was expecting arch rivals Manly to beat the reigning wooden spooners in Sundays Brookvale Oval battle.
Ah . . . it hurts me to say it, but Ive got to go with the Sea Eagles over there at Brookvale, Hindmarsh says in his tipping rundown. They played great footy against the Rabbitohs last week, a tough game.
Jamie Lyon stepped up and while were still waiting for Cherry-Evans and Foran to really take control, I think Manly will be too strong.

Of course, Hindmarshs frank assessment is a welcome change from those retired players who, when asked to analyse a certain game, stick with their old side out of loyalty.
Certainly no one has given more to the Eels than Hindy. And tipping against the Eels? Well, hes hardly Robinson Crusoe there.
Im sure it hurts him to top the Sea Eagles, but we think hes on the money, TAB spokesman Matt Jenkins said. Parramatta started at $3.75, have drifted to $5 and still no one wants to back them.
While The Sunday Telegraph was unable to get a hold of Hindmarsh yesterday, its understood the NSW and Australian favourite has been working hard this week in his part-time Eels mentoring role, to get the younger players mentally prepared for the Brookvale clash.
But for what he expects from the Eels?
Who knows, he continued. Parramatta were disappointing last week against the Roosters, got absolutely thumped. But I think Brad Arthur wouldve done a job on them.
So you will see an improved Eels side I believe but I dont know if its going to be good enough to beat the Manly Sea Eagles at Brookvale.
