To settle a little dispute over here in blighty can all you Aussies please vote on who has made the biggest impact in the NRL.

Adrian Morley, who has reached two grand finals now, with one victory already in the bag.

Or Ellery Hanley, who helped Balmain reach a GF in the 80's and also played for Wests.

And please, no bias from you Tigers or Roosters. ;-)

It's so hard to really compare the two, playing different positions, in a different era.

here are some stats on Ellery

Ellery Hanley*

Year Teams T G FG P
1988 Balmain 5 0 0 20
1989 Wests 4 0 0 16
1996 Balmain 2 0 1 9
1997 Balmain 1 0 0 4
Totals 12 0 1 49

Adrian Morley*

Year Teams T G FG P
2001 Easts 1 0 0 4
2003 Easts 1 0 0 4
Totals 2 0 0 8

Personally, I believe that both these players have bought alot to RL.

Morely gets my vote, BECAUSE of his work rate, personality and f**king good looks. What a gentleman !!

How many games did they each play?

Hanley was great at Balmain singlehandly lifting the a good side to the next level, but when he went to wests he struggled in a very below average side.

Morely looks great in a top side, one of the standouts in the competition, but I would like to see how he would go at west or souths. Would he bring that edge to them, or just make up the numbers.

As much as I am a Rooster through and through, Hanley was one of my faves when I was a kid. He had class, speed, a great swerve and could tackle too. As stated earlier, its hard to compare the 2 because they are/were both worth a lot to their respective teams. Opposition teams feared them when they had/have the ball.
Right now I'd have to say Hanley by a bees dick, or a poofteenth, if that helps.
But after Sunday, it could be Morley by a mile. :D

Hey, dont you be getting too attached to our Mozza!! Me and my fellow Leeds fans want him back in a couple of years. ;-)

Thanks for all your comments. Keep the votes coming. And by the way, it looks like the Roosters are a little less biased than the Tigers. Their voting is currently 5-1 to Hanley. Maybe the Roosters are a bit more knowledgeable when it comes to footy matters? ;-)
