Jun 25, 2020 - Instead, Brett and Josh Morris are getting paid the equivalent of cheap Lambrusco. Are you sitting down? They're each on less than $300,000 this season.

Did you see them last night hunting the Broncos from inside their own quarter up to half way before forcing an error.

Like watching National Geographic with the Lions chasing down their prey.

Why why dear Lord did we ever let them go.

We know why the left the Dragons;
Josh could not be guaranteed a first grade spot with the likes of Gasnier and Cooper in the side.

Brett want Doust to honour his promise of giving him the differed pay rise. Mary stated that no winger is worth 550k and that he wanted to re-balance the team and direct more salary cap towards the forward pack.

What is more important is, why didn't Millward snap these two former juniors of the Club up when they became available again. This would have solved our backline problems for sure.

On most occassions its what we do best.....let the talent go and purchase used by duds....theres been quite a few of late that have gone because quite simply they got sick of pulling splinters out of their arse from sitting on the bench...sadly nothing will change unless theres a major overhaul from top to bottom

It is what it is.
Can't keep harping on this.
Josh left ages ago
And Brett wanted to play with his brother again simple as that.
And so, why could not they have kept their promise made to Brett and also brought Josh home to the Dragons. Brett was our best attacking weapon and we desperately need a good centre at the time.

Brett was never coming back...and he made the correct decision..won a G.F....End of story...

Anyone thinking removing Mcgregor would be a quick fix is wrong....so many issues at the club..in terms of how we compete with other clubs on all levels....
P.S on a positive note, Mr Webb I.M.H.O is a good appointment....lets see if he can/is allowed to make the changes required...Still too many people who "Bleed Red and White " who are allegedly considered highly in the club when in reality you need to appoint whoever is the best candidate for the positions available.

All in all a total f-ck up in my opinion. Trent Robinson said that he wished he had the Morris's when they were 25 (9 years ago). They would have made big differences to the Roosters then, even tho Robbo wasn't with that club in 2011and they would be still there to this day as the Roosters would have kept them.

You know, not one of our greats from 2010 have been given much recognition by the club. The only one we have left is Merrin and why the hell we decided to get him back I'm blowed if I know!!
They would rather keep an underperforming coach like Mary on the books and give him the reins for his last hurrah in the Eels game than heap praise on others who have left the club such as Soward, Nightingale, Gasnier, B Morris, Hornby and the forwards.

There is just too much pressure attached with playing for the Dragons based on the very distant past and the Wollongong/Kogarah expanse of the joint venture is not attractive to outside players let alone those already in.

Painful as it is to see BMoz in the tricolours... There's no doubt he made the right decision.

Back here he'd have been completely starved of ball playing outside Aitken... and only ruined his reputation as a player under the incompetent coaching of McMuppett.

Tragically, the more success he enjoys there, the more he becomes a "Roosters Great" rather than a Saint...

Agreed. The twins memories of playing for the Dragons would be completely faded into oblivion by the time their careers finishes at the Roosters in 3 years time. Yes, I can see them playing for several more years at the Roosters and they will be seen as Roosters Greats as you say This Just In...

I am sure that Brett and Josh Morris would be glad to take less money to be playing together again and for a club that has a brilliant winning culture. Josh just wants to win a premiership and there is every chance that he will with his brother at the Roosters. Money means a lot, but for the Morris's, winning a premiership and together in the same team would be the icing on the three tier cake (Threepeat).

The sooner the salary cap cheats get brought to justice the better.
Players agreeing to play for unders to play with a great club is absolute BS.
They play for X amount on the books and the rest off the books. Its called cheating.
Tedesco, Pangai JR, Morris Bros, all cheating the cap.
Wipe it out and narrow the playing field so that shit teams like ours can at least compete on salary with good teams like Roosters.

It all about personalities , egos and gripes.
I.e. between players and board. Whos at fault. THE BOARD. as they should operate without clashing personalities, egos and gripes. I bet the rorters don't have that issue.

All i hope is that this debacle becomes a wakeup call to current and future leaders at the club. I.e. if they truly love the place.
