I'd add the Giants and Falcons to the most disappointing list as well.

Another team to add to most improved would have to be Carolina. Especially considering some of the teams in their division.

I cant beleive you have the Vikers as your most dissapointing team!! :?

Last year we were probably the worst defence in the league and coming into this season were probably expected to finish in the bottom 6 or 7 teams, especially with Michael Bennett on the injury list for the first half of the season. I think they did tremendously well.

having said that, if you are simply looking at start of season form up against end of season form then that is fair enough.

My most dissapointing team of the year was the Raiders, i couldnt believe how soft their run defence became in one offseason, and the demise of the passing game wasnt pretty at all either.

My pick for most improved is probably Carolina as well, simply because of Steven Davis, the man has had an unbelievable year.

Pauly Boy - the reason that I have the Vikings as the most disappointing isn't because of their record, which lets face it 9-7 is a hell of a lot better than most teams, but the fact that they have such good players ( Moss, Culpepper etc), they should have capitalised on their great start to at least make the playoffs....

They lost to some pretty average teams down the home stretch....

What do you think of Culpepper's season? I think he is a talent, great arm, a big guy who can run, but in some games in the second half of the season, he threw some dodgy passes.... I think he takes a few to many risks....

That has always been his problem, he has a cannon arm but his accuracy doesnt do him many favours most of the time.

Its true the vikings do have a good roster on offence, but defensively the vikings are shakey all over the place. Kevin Williams is a good prospect in the D line to go with Hovan, and Corey Chavous really blossomed at safety this year, but in between those 3 there is very little in the way of talent. And unfortunately the most consistent teams in the NFL seem to have the best defences. Also there is a big lack of other options at receiver which hurts the offence too. Moss is always covered ridiculously heavily because they know that Bates, Burleson and Campbell are basically there to just make up the numbers.

oakland raiders for sure

to go from the superbowl to being in a toss up for the number 1 draft pick is ridiculous
