Best Gangster style movie I've ever seen is "Road to Perdition" with Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Jude Law and Daniel Craig.Hanks said he never wanted to do a movie with Children or Guns, but the script was just too good to let go.

I must confess to being a bit of a movie buff myself. I'm not artsy though. I love B movies just as much as the ones rated by the critics, often more so. For example, Sharknado is terribly conceived, acted, produced and has special effects barely better than the "Flash Gordon" detergent bottle on a wire with a sparker stuck in the back. But what fun.

At the moment, the end of the world, zombies and post apocalyptic dystopian misery is all the rage. You could be forgiven to thinking we are all doomed. The movie "Iron Sky, the Coming Race", is from this genre and its main plot has the Nazis hiding on the moon ready to come back and reclaim their place as the master race. So bad its friggin hilarious, or maybe, its just bad. If you want to see a Nazi riding a dinosaur, watch this movie......

Yeah, a great movie. I watched this on the big screen in the Botanical gardens with the Opera House silhouetting in the distance. Epic, but very dark. I thought Jude Law was excellent.

Thouroughly enjoyed all three of Yesterday, Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman. Yesterday was my personal favourite of the 3.

My most recent entry into my personal top 10 of all time favourites was Green Book probably the best movie I have seen in years. Well deserved winner of Oscar for Best Picture.

Three Billboards outside Ebbing Missouri was another classic.

For something more recent: Hunt For The Wilderpeople (2016) with Sam Neil. Very funny.

Saw Star Wars. Pretty crap. But was what I expected it to be and felt interested enough to stay till the end.

There Will Be Blood. DDL in that film probably wins best acting performance of the 21st century. Masterful.

Most Scorcese films are incredibly long.

This one is on my list to watch.

Bohemian Rhapsody was good. Didn’t like Rocketman though I like when Biopics just tell the story it was too out there in parts for me

There's a 3 part movie/mini series coming onto fox next week called A Christmas Carol with Guy Pearce as Ebenezer Scrooge, looks a little dark but I'm looking forward to watching it

Bourne is good, didn't mind the one with Jeremy Renner either, North by Northwest is my favorite Cary Grant movie, Rear Window and Vertigo my favorite Jimmy Stewart movies

Agree on North by Northwest. Great movie.
Charade is ok.
Loved Rear Window. Vertigo was unusual.
Other Hitchcock films with Jimmy Stewart. Rope and The Man Who Knew Too Much were ok.

Daniel Day Lewis is probably the greatest actor of his generation, if not all time. You watch a movie he is in and you don't even know it's him playing it until the credits roll. If it's Pacino or De Niro, you know it's them. 3 Oscars and 3 nominations, Day Lewis is unbelievably good.

Thats what makes life interesting, one man's epic is another man's Howard the Duck.

I thought Rocketman was brilliantly creative and captured the genius of Elton John, more than Bohemian Rhapsody did for Freddie Mercury. Don't get me wrong, Bohemian Rhapsody was well acted and mimed and Rami Malek did a great job at mimicking Mercury. But Egerton sung all the songs as well as having to act. The scenes with Elton's father were just brilliant and gave true insight into Elton's character. I thought Rhapsody just told the story without really getting to the heart of what Freddie was about. Rocketman gave us insight into what made John like he is.
