Screw 28 Days Later, its a piece of artsie style crap. No zombies, just some stoopid disease. no gore, and the creatures run, i mean RUN for God's sake!
Anyone that says it is a zombie movie needs a slap in the head, and anyone that says it is good needs a kick in the head.
There has not been a decent horror movie made in AGES! Now that undead has set the scene (albeit it is a comedy really) hopefully the old school shit will come back and we won't see any more Screams or 28 Days Later teeny-bopper bullshit crapfests.
Even though Dawn was a sensational movie, Day of the Dead and Night of the Living Dead were also excellent movies. Even the spoof Return of the Living Dead had some excellent parts, sucha s when that dude who was infected ran away with his girlfriend, then turned zombie and chased her, cornered her in a Church and convinced her to let him eat her brains. When he bit into her head and she just sighed and went blank, that scene will forever be etched in my memory as one of the most surreal things I have ever seen.
Just to let you know, the maker of those films (Dawn of the Dead etc) is currently writing a fourth in the series, roughly scheduled for release in 05.
