Were funny/good when you first watched it ,but was absolute rubbish the next time you seen it?

I thought Dude where's my car was funny then i watched it again the other night and realised i must have been stoned the first time.

Man, I love The Pest.

I can't think of too many, I never really like Anchorman so it doesn't count.

School of Rock. For some reason when I watched it the second time Jack Black's overacting just gave me the sh*ts.

when i first saw it i was pretty young and thought it was the funniest thing i had ever seen. then years later i saw it on dvd and brought it...i only laughed once, the part when he trips down the stairs and says " i meant to do that"..other then that it was crap.

and anchorman is like my bible....thats the funniest movie ever.

The Pest definitely falls into this category. Another one for me is Baseketball, I loved this originally, watched it a few months ago and struggle for a laugh throughout.

well i used to watch benny hill and the goodies when i was younger.

i have been watching them on fox lately and although not hillarious, they are still quite funny.

a movie that fits into this category i guess would be ferris buellers day off.
still a classic though

I remember watching Ali G when i was young, and i literally laughed in every scene in the movie. When i re-watched it years later, i wondered what was wrong with me.

Have to agree with Benny Hill. Used to think it was the funniest show on television when I was a kid. Now it just looks like a lot of sexist, racist (and just about every other 'ist') crap. Same recycled gags and very unfunny. The Goodies still gave me a giggle, but looks very dated.

Watched a bit of the Dave Allen Show again recently and, while some of the skits looked dated, his jokes (particularly the religious ones) are as funny as ever.

As for movies, Flying High and Top Secret were no longer funny. Neither was Animal House or Time Bandits.

Thank goodness for Monty Python though. Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Life of Brian (and even The Meaning of Life) are still hysterical decades later.
