Question without notice.

Who would you prefer to partner Chad next year? I know a lot of us would rather Chad be moved on, but let's assume he's sticking around.

Out of the 3 you mentioned, still Maloney.
He has the ability to go to another level, Moylan IS a myth, Cronk WILL retire...

I'd take a gamble on Moylan but i've never seen him play other than that Origin series, seems to get a lot of hype and love from Channel 9 which you could take with a grain of salt. Age seems to be on his side if the club is looking for someone for 3+ years.

Maloney is rocks and diamonds at best. Gives away a lot of penalties but can break a game. I think he will ask to leave the club for more future security elsewhere. Something tells me the club is pushing him away even if they are not aware of it.

Cronk to me is the biggest gamble the club could make, he is over 30 and is untested outside of Cameron Smith and Billy Slater. Not really looking forward with someone over 30.

What's a bet we will end up with none of the above and someone relatively unknown.

Cronk to me major risk, not sure his heart would be in it.

Maloney for me i need to see him play like he did in finals last year to extend contract, there also might be reason only stays 1 contract per club.

Moylan for me i know is a risk, but does add can play fullback as well, taking we have Flanno Jnr coming through and potentially some others, Moylan could well be a key to us in next few year, he has only played 89 games so in next few years should hit peak

Moylan is a cat.
As someone who has goes to ALOT of Penrith games. He is afraid to be tackled. Hes not very good. Hes a myth.
Cronk is the Best specialist halfback in the game, but he will likely retire after Melbourne win this year.
Maloney gives away too many penalties and has been very poor this year.

So make Maloney see out his contact and Flanno Jr takes over in 2019.

Keep Chad, I'm more worried about Maloney but keep him until Kyle is ready next year. Maloney doesn't seem that interested, maybe he is tired or bored .Actually half the team is playing slower, not running into holes. Fifi went to offload twice Close in to the Knights line and there was nobody there.

Cronk>Jimmy>Matt

Cronk will not come.

Jimmy should stay.

Matt should stay where he is or go to Newy.

they play like we will make finals and win, well now its time for them to put up

Maloney is the better player overall but in the current situation I'd lean towards Moylan think he would be a better 5/8 than a pissed off Maloney next year. We've all seen Maloney's frustration this year and its not pretty.

I'd have Cronk, reads a game well, better defensively than BBQs,eloquent, sponsors love him and some of the losses we had ,we may not have with the Cronkster.
Could tell Rothsmeld to get stuffed and the git wouldn't realise it.

Moylan bit of a moody hud, like a cold water tap, freezing in winter, hot as, in summer.Maybe a clip under the rear from gal, could pull him into line.

BBQs is a good organiser, good goal kicker, wobbly defender, already knows our players' finer points.Has a tendency to give away one too many penalties.
Out of the three
Cronk
BBQs
both of the above could handle in the side ,no problems.

Moylan ATM meh.

Moylan is very close to fif so this might happen. He has some skills but also has some shocking errors in him.

I'd want to keep Jim and hope his discipline from this year improves.

Hooper saying we are very interested in Moylan.

If this talk happens through the finals campaign how the hell are we going to get the best out of Maloney in the finals ???
