Moylan run straight

Watching the game yesterday, not sure if we all seen this was a movement where in 2nd half we are near half way Moyaln has no where to go you hear Seggy yell at him go straight, but no he didnt want contact drifted crossfield dumped it off i believe Williams who took it forward.

It wasn't first time in game he did this, but it was the most obvious, it looks like Moylan does not like the contact if its a heavy tackle its get rid of ball at any cost, Flanno needs to get this out of his game, that is not the Sharks way of playing.

If he dosent want to play our style, he would be hard to offload but Titans need a f/e or not sure how rest of forum feel i would happily swap him for Bird on both about same $$$, and for all Bird's faults he dosent shirk the heavy work

Speaking of running straight.

Anyone else notice that in the second half, Chads first movement was three steps forward before drifting out. The straight movement engages the defence and makes them think he might run.

Subtle little difference and helped stop that big Canberra pack from rolling forward like the first half

Running straight is the least of his problems, Stake.

Catching , passing & kicking need to be mastered first.

He is really warming to the responsibility.

The blues should actually pick him because he’s not so easily fazed anymore.

Alas, they will pick Cleary after 2 games back & not match hardened.

Cleary with no games under his belt would be better than Chad.

It's obvious he isn't a 5/8. He isn't adjusting to the Sharks game. Trying to pull off the big play all the time is a bad habit from Penrith. The best game he played all year was at fullback

Since we are putting the boot into moyza, anyone think his kicking action looks stabby and unnatural??

He kind of jabs with a bent knee action. It’s wierd looking

That may be so but we have NO good halves candidates this year.

Even if Cleary had played all year, I’m not convinced he could do the job.

He’s still a baby in RL terms & Origin will exploit that.

Cleary is a different kettle of fish though. He's unflappable. Whether he's picked this year or not is by the by in a way. He will be the NSW half back for a long time. I just hope he doesn't get pinned like Pearce.

Not a fan of Origin but I kinda hope Chad does get picked. He has been going well enough and knows maloneys game. The best thing is, he will come back a far better player for it. Which is great for us.

Im Glad Fifs is not in the picture!

Yes, it would take Chad’s game to another level.

He’s ready for it mentally....as ready as you can be to get smashed by QLD.
