Interesting. He’s very good, but would he a good partner for Nicho? I’d be tempted to put him back in the centre’s, he killed it there last season

The dogs would be nuts not to upgrade him but their cap situation is probably a bit f**ked.

They also need the space for Kikau who is coming next year and would be on big bucks. Someone will have to go.

Burton, to me, is playing like a learner half. We already have one of those and if he wants an upgrade from $550,000 I reckon we steer clear. NH is only on $600k and despite his recent drop in form has been way better than Burton. Moylan has been way better than Burton on $350k.

I'm not that keen to have 2 learners together but won't call it as a definitive "don't want" till 2022 finishes

The argument that both Nicho and Matt B have been halves coming through doesn't see to be holding water at NRL level at this time but realistically they are babes in arms as far as 6-7 play.

Also, we should have cashola available with some to leave but that will be tempered with upgrades e.g. Sifa. and depending on the years level of success those upgrades could be significant.

Who'd be a cap manager?

We've got one of the best in the business in Mooney at least

Do you really think Moyza is only on 350K?

Assume they were on the same wage ~500K who would you prefer then?

For me Burton would be worth it because even if he doesn't work out as a half for that money I'd move him back to left centre where he tore it up for the Pennies.

You're not wrong though it would be a f**king nightmare managing the cap.

I would love to see someone do a comparison across all the clubs and see if any patterns emerged for example the top clubs putting more money in their spines or more in the forward pack. It would be fascinating.

Well I do not think we have any chance of beating Grant or Api this year.

So I would be playing players who I want to step up next year. To become real rivals.

Trindall @ 7 with Nicho outside. MM as backup.

Pele playing over Fifita.

Give Miller a chance.

Wilton over Wade.

It is possible they all tank, better to know this also ran year.

On the Burton thing, would sign for sure.

Interesting to see that Manly have basically offered Foran same type of deal we have offered Moylan one year, apparently the offer to Foran is max around $350k, I would say him and Moylan close to being on par.
Would it be worth the club offering Foran $400k for 2023

I cannot disagree, MM has very skilky hands and does read play well, never lacks effort.

To bad the body has given up. I am the only who saw the chase of worried about my hammies?

In the end he has been terrible value for money. Can be the best on field, missed pretty much two seasons, when played he played well, mainly, had the odd shocker too.

Is not our future. Others are, play them now.

Then again I do understand play the best you have today.

Pretend we have a chance, give the boys another year, get some more semi-final experience, maybe even beat Api or Grant then get beat by the other.

But next year, if Brailey grows into the leader, all the boys better after another year.

Just maybe.

Time to go MM

AF, WG, much love, time to go.

I don’t think Fitz removes anyone he needs but I also don’t think he keeps anyone for nostalgia. He has a 3 year deal and potential alone won’t get that extended. The board want results and he won’t be considered if he finishes top 4 this year then out of the 8 in years 2 and 3. He has a job to do.

Fitz will better next year too, I am not asking for any sacking, Fitz is doing great, I reckon he has done great for our D, then again the boys are a year older too, but no issue. Hey suprise me, and beat them all.

Api goes to the tigers, hopefully Munster to the Dolphins, Belllamy has to retire.

As long as Quigs can complain about Irish merkins running Qantas, the world is good.
