Actually, in all of Stakes machine gunning, the best in the lowers has been Gray, Kennedy & Lee.
Kennedy just might end up being something special.

He might but without a forward pack his first game in firsts will be a nightmare

Frenzy.

What precisely has Kennedy shown that warrants a first grade spine spot?

Holmes for all his faults has had 4 NRL pre seasons and his body is NRL hardened. Kennedy has not.

Yeah but that stands true for every player coming up. You would never blood anyone based on that. Felix wasnt NRL hardened when he debuted.

The point about being NRL hardened was in response to the physical comparison between Kennedy and Holmes not as a pre requisite for being picked. Height and weight do not tell the whole story.

Of all the juniors coming through Kennedy and Billy excite me the most.....are they ready for first grade just yet?? Probably not but there's only one way to find out. Don't think they take the risk with Kennedy yet bet reckon Billy gets a shot this week for sure...along with Sorenson.

Yeah but wouldn't start in firsts either....20 - 25 mins off the bench required. Time to see which of these guys are up for it......Forced succession planning.
To play 15-20 off the bench in first grace, you need to be putting in big minutes on reserves.
He will get smoked for pace and repeat efforts, ala Dillon

Dillon was on a hiding to nothing the way the game panned out injury wise.....actually got better as the game went on. Considering who we were playing and the quality of their pack I thought he went ok after those couple of initial mistakes. Those saying he's not up to it based on that one game are kidding. With regards to Billy....you don't need 80 minute fitness to play 20 minutes in the top grade.....albeit much quicker.

Look at Dufty the Dragons fullback nothing of him but he seems to be adjusting to FG, he did it tough early but is managing to handle it, what to say Kennedy wouldnt be able to do the same thing.

This club has gone from a club where we would give young players a go, to where it like the old Australian cricket team you need to wait your turn.

We dont expect 10 new guys in a hit, but lets test the water now and then, also helps when looking to keep or release
