What is this new Reserve your MSN Nickname thing?

And, why are the previous and first buttons on each thread not working? You can open a thread and only see the most recent page of posts, you can't go back to previous pages of posts to see the beginnings of a thread.

If we are keeping LWOS going mainly for the classic old discussions, there isn't going to be much point if this keeps up. Is this a temporary thing? Or is it sabotage by those TFR guys?
