The Mudgee Dragons have lost a further member of their 2003 team with speedy centre Nathan Davies moving to the Coffs Harbour area.
His move was indirectly a result of the closure of the Mudgee Abattoir.
Davies, in his fourth year as an apprentice electrician, has found work on the coast that has enabled him to complete his apprenticeship.
His father, Bill Davies, said that Nathan, whilst not working at the abattoirs, was laid off as an indirect result of the closure.
"He was still attending tech for his apprenticeship, but was not working as an electrician," Bill Davies said.
"He would have stayed and played had work been available in Mudgee.
"I hope when he has completed his apprenticeship that he will be able to return to Mudgee and play for the Dragons again.
