wouldn't hve thought it possible but his tackling is getting worse. no other word than feeble describes it. Crook shoulder or not he is easily the worst tackling half in the NRL

He is far far far from the worst tackling half in the comp. that being said he has been bad in D lately which you can attribute to his shoulder.

He's playing with 2 pectoral tears (one on it's own should be season ending) and a partially dislocated shoulder. I know we love giving it to Mullo, but I've gotta jump to his defense here.

Make all the excuses you want for his defense, but you can't excuse his pathetic attack.

I think the only reason Mullen continues to play injured is because he is worried that if he is out Stone may use stig/roberts as the halves and get winning results as per last time mullen was out injured and his position may not be safe in first grade anymore.

Not worried about his defence. He's a good defensive player when without shoulder and chest problems. Happy to forgive him. However, something must be done about his attacking skill set if he wants to be a first grade half on a shit load of coin. Kicking, running, passing and organising game is diabolical.

IMO the simple equation is if you are too injured to front up and make a tackle then you are too injured to play. That attempt on Hodkinson was embarrassing coupled with the Alex Glenn one last week. He is not just missing any old tackles, he is missing important tackles. I know he is not Robinson Crusoe in that department but his seem to be standing out as crucial misses.

Mullen made some great tackles during the game but he missed some critical ones. Most that he missed were when he was standing out of the play and made half attempts at a grab. I put those down to his injuries but totally agree we can't afford for it to happen.
I'm a fan of Houston but many of his gropes were just as woeful. Missed tackles is what cost us and it wasn't just Mullen.

I'll agree on some of his defensive "efforts" last night, but everyone's talking about his organisational skills or lack of. It's quite simple really, he's not a halfback. Never has been, never will be.

Shoulder injuries suck. They are debilitating.

I had a small tear in my shoulder 3 months ago. I only play Basketball, but even after 2 months out it is still sore, and I have absolutely no faith in it.

His injury will be in his head every time he attempts a tackle. Same as a bloke who has done an ACL, every time he tries to move laterally he will know that the knee isnt 100%. Every movement made with the shoulder will cause pain and even worse will be the resistance in the joint and muscle. The feeling that the movement will cause another tear.....

Should have time off to get right, but at the business end of the season neither he or the club have that luxury.

Mullo doesn't decide by himself if he is fit to play the clubs medicos and coach ultimately make the decision. The injuries are definately affecting his game both in attack and defence
