Music Shop

Does anyone know of a large music store around Sydney somewhere, apart from Allans Music in the city?
A music shop as in....one taht sells instruments and music and stuff.

I wouldn't have a clue what street it's in, as im from Wollongong, but if your looking at the QVB from the South, Venue music is to the left, across the road and down a hill slightly.

I did my Year 10 work experiance in a music (mainly guitar) store and regretted it - didn't learn a thing #-o

both Billy Hydes and Jackson's Rare Guitars are kinda close to the city aren't they? is that too specialised?

Both pretty awesome shops - Billy Hydes in Parra might be a better overall store, but given the artists that use/hire their gear they would be the go i think. Jackson's is awesome to look in though...

Venue Music is in Druitt St.

Does it have to be in the city? There is plenty of places around but not heaps in the city.

Sound Devices is in the city too.

Heya guys,
thanks for those contacts. I've been rejected 3 times this afternoon already looking for work exp. ( 2 were music shops). I think i'll give up on looking for a music shop and go look elsewhere.....but i am running out of ideas :? ...life goes on
