The team must execute these plans better then what they have been doing, once they execute these plans the dragons will be on their way and will be hard to beat.

Mate we don't have a game plan anymore, it's turn the ball inside and hope for the best.
The only thing keeping us in games is our defence has been pretty solid all year.

Choose one of the following:
a) There is no game plan (unlikely but with some of the attack last night would not surprise)
b) Brown is unable to communicate the Game Plan to the players effectively.
c) Players do not have the skill level or motivation to execute said Game Plan.
d) We "didn't turn up to play"... or some other cliche copout

This post is a joke there is not game plan from brown except to use gaz as a hit up merchant 1 metre either side of the play the ball and to kick 2 points when we are 4 behind.

brown has obviously started playing union as well and decided that penalty goals win matches

It was very predictable last night.

The best we have is Soward at 2nd receiver & he passes it to one of our backrowers. Predictable, & it didn't help that our back row was about 5 metres behind Soward when he got it.

There is too much emphasis on Gasnier IMO. At times it seems as though not even he knows what he is meant to be doing, what lines he is meant to run, etc. Keep him at right centre and focus on getting him quality ball with time and space rather than pass and hope he pulls something out of the hat. They obviously had a plan with all the inside balls but wouldn't that be better for a team who don't actually have mobile forwards?

Yep, it was driving me insane. Normally they have more emphasis on the middle and I can't understand why they went away from that. To me it was if the plan was to give it to Soward in the hope that he would come up with something special.

A few things that i've noticed lately..

1. Nightingale receiving a cross field kick from Soward whilst on the burst down the sideline does not occur no more.
(thats worth a definate 4 points every match.)

2.Were going back to never passing the ball along more than 4 sets of hands in one play, this is affective if you go from left to right with Gaz linking up and shimming or passing out to the wing. It's always been worth 4 points. (it may take 3 attempts to get it but none the less)

3.We do not have the opposition guessing who is attacking no more with regards to Soward or Hornby. It's either get Soward or get Hornby.

4. My U8's have more play varieties than this team does..

I read "Must execute Brownie...." and began to applaud loudly...

I think one of the many major problems which im sure has been mentioned many a time is that Brown's "Roving Gasnier" plan is a bag of sh!t... the guy can't run lines... he's got horrible timing... we all know and even the commentators who are praising the "roving gaz" that he is at his best one on one with his opposite and getting on the outside of him...

I mean why is Brownie persisting with this? its not like if he developed into a good fullback we could do anything with him next season!!! Josh Morris is leaving us also so why give him that centre position...

Why not just put the so called "Worlds best centre..." in the position that got him the title of "Worlds best centre"...

To use a Sonny Bill-ism you dont take the worlds best bus driver and make him drive a mini-cooper!!!

exactly right !!!!

what an absolutely stupid and predicable game plan - if i could even call it that..
1. why turn the ball inside EVERY time even when there are 3 defenders there waiting??? they just run the play regardless of the situation on the field.
2. why run inside balls EVERY time when the forward pack of the tigers is the most mobile forward pack in the comp?? there was NEVER a gap there.
3. trying to get the ball to Gasnier EVERY time makes the rest of the backline totally ineffective... we have other match winners like Cooper, Nightingale and Morris in the backline, but they hardly saw any ball because every play was designed at getting the ball to gasnier no matter what - even when he had 2 or 3 defenders in front of him...

YOU ARE AN IDIOT MR BROWN !! leave us now and that way we might have a chance at making the finals..:x

Has anyone noticed that we struggle to throw a good clean pass from left to right? That is precisely why I don't rate Rangi Chase, I just don't think he's got enough variety in his passing game to be a good half. Soward is a decent ballplayer, but he has a better running and kicking game. The scary thing is that Hornby (perhaps Woolford) is probably our best ball player, and that is not the best part of his game.

The Dragon's game plan inside the opposition 20 is 4 x inside balls followed by a kick to the corner. I'd be willing to bet that we score a greater percentage of tries off kicks than any other team in the competition. Brown has us playing well as a defensive unit, he has improved our discipline and mental toughness, yet we look bereft of ideas with the ball in hand. I'm not sure whether that's Brownie's fault or just a general lack of ball playing talent.
