My Almost Logical Conclusion

Messages

This is mainly directed at captain bringdown Misty Bee and to any others who fall in to the categroy mentioned below.

We can all agree that the agenda to remove smith as coach has the clubs best interests at heart. Why accept mediocracy... blah blah blah. all that sort of crap.

Nathan hindmarsh has publically pleaded with fans to not participate,in any anti-Smith rallies, and that it is doing the club more harm than good, as well as commenting on the disheartening nature of booing the team off the field. Other players have also pubically expressed their suport for Smith.

The following logical conclusion then must be:

Smith = harm to the club [Misty Et Al's assessment]
Misty = harm to the club [players assessment]
therefore Smith = Misty :? 8)

Conclusion: shutup bout firing smith, show some support, change your attitude, or remove yourselves; and the club will hopefully be better off. and isnt this what you're all really after, an improvement in performance.
Perhaps it is the fans holding the players back ;-)

btw, i do believe what i just said, yet it is also said with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek. :D

Furthermore, it appears we've lost a few home games recently. Generally speaking most people would agree that home games give the home team an advantage. This usually being a larger proportion of fans in the stands. How can parramatta and their fans expect there to be a home game advantage when the fans DO NOT provide the atmosphere. Everyone claims "i've paid my hard earned money watching this team play and they aren't providing the results." Well you've paid the money as a fan of a team, now play the role and show some support.

yes i know what coming... the team needs to give the fans something to cheer about. but this comes back to the ol' chicken and egg dilemma. So this is a my public appeal to all fans reading this thread, to get a hell of a lot more vocal, show the players we still support them, albeit with smith at the helm. and help instill some confidance on a team aching to give us a win.

and then the next retaliation to this post will be something along the lines of "freedom of speech" (pfft) and i have a right to my opinion (waaah waah waaaaaa)

i believe that noone has the right to an opinion that is damaging. Constructive - fine, but harmful - no. And some of your "opinions" have now been deemed damaging by the people who matter.

i look forward ro becomming a new voice at this forum, been reading for years, and i am an ex-member of the now-what-should-be-redundant "official bulliten board." And just for the record i wont always be stirring this much s**t,

another note, im not a smith groupie. hes a great man and a great coach, but i believe he has offered everything he can to parramatta. but he's here to stay, and often in life you have to make do with what you got.

The so called "anti-smith rally" at the next home game is all just media talk. No one i have spoke to knows anything about nor do the majority of people on here. Whether it is my opinion or not that smith should go doesnt stop me driving a 4 hour round trip to support my team, im still there most home games cheering them on.

yeah if there was an anti-smith rally organised by parra fans, i'm sure we on this forum would be the first to hear about it. this is surely the most pertinent collection of eels fans away from the game, right?

I'm Brian? Good. I'll resign!

I wonder at the clubs/players attempts to blame the fans. To use their lines..."we don't miss the tackles, drop the balls etc." But I guess we'd all be happy to jump from the stands in our thousands and do the bloody tackling for ya!

unfortunately no, parra pete loved smith. i think smith is doing a woeful job atm.
i think the mentality of most of the supporters, and the media (both of which influence each other way too much) are partially to blame for the poor situation that we're going through.

Surely it all just comes down to inspiration and attitude?

The team should've been inspired by Hindy's efforts last week (every week?). But no, nothing really gelled around him. So we hope that the players get inspired a week later (after some pizza) and play some inspired footy v the knights!

But there's this thing called a coaching staff who you'd also expect to be contributing to that inspiration and attitude re-building somewhat... I would say that contribution hasn't been effective at all in the past five weeks (since the Sharks loss), and we've even been worse on field since our bye.

I find it sad that I have to put faith in the power of pizzas, but at the moment that the only positive thing that appears to be happening to bring about positive change for all concerned.
